Join renowned cellist, composer, and multilingual vocalist Ian Maksin for another amazing musical journey in search of light, love, and empowerment.  Inspired by music of Vivaldi, Mozart, Piazzolla and fused with traditional music from Africa, the Middle East and the Balkans, his new album “Amor Renatus” elevates you to a new realm outside the dimensions of time, place and identity, giving an opportunity to process deep, dark emotions, to ultimately rediscover peace and to find enlightenment and healing for the soul.

Ian Maksin has created his own unique style by blending elements of different genres and traditional music from around the globe in a new way using his cello as the main unifying force.

He uses the loop pedal and other electronic devices to augment the sound of the cello and turn it into a virtual orchestra.  He sings pop and traditional songs from around the globe in more than 30 and writes his own originals in at least four.  He has released several albums of original music for cello inspired by his world travels and collaborations with native musicians.

Apart from performing the entire new album, in the second half of the concert Ian Maksin will perform other original instrumental compositions as well as traditional songs from Maksin's collection of over 200 songs in 31 languages.

Inspiré par la musique de Vivaldi, Mozart, Piazzolla et fusionné avec la musique traditionnelle d'Afrique, du Moyen-Orient et des Balkans, son nouvel album « Amor Renatus » vous élève vers un nouveau royaume en dehors des dimensions du temps, de l'espace et de l'identité, vous offrant une opportunité revivre et traiter des émotions profondes et sombres, pour finalement redécouvrir la paix et trouver la guérison de l’âme.

Ian Maksin a créé son propre style unique en mélangeant d'une nouvelle manière des éléments de différents genres et de la musique traditionnelle du monde entier en utilisant son violoncelle comme principale force unificatrice. Il utilise la pédale de boucle et d'autres appareils électroniques pour augmenter le son du violoncelle et le transformer en orchestre virtuel. Il chante des chansons populaires et traditionnelles du monde entier dans plus de une trentaine de langues et écrit des chansons originales dans au moins quatre. Il a sorti plusieurs albums de musique originale pour violoncelle inspirés de ses voyages à travers le monde et de ses collaborations avec des musiciens folkloriques.

En plus d'interpréter l'intégralité du nouvel album, dans la seconde moitié du concert, Ian Maksin jouera d'autres compositions instrumentales originales ainsi que quelques  chansons de sa collection de plus de 200 chansons en 31 langues.

ONE-MAN ORCHESTRA: Ian Maksin is breaking geographic boundaries by blending many genres and styles using the cello as the main common denominator. In addition to cello, he used an electronic device called the loop pedal, which allows him to create "loops" or layers by recording and replaying his own playing in real time.
